This policy explains what data ConvertSnap collects, how it is used, and what we do not collect. Please read it carefully.

The Short Version

Your calculation inputs and generated passwords are never sent to our servers and are never stored. All tool calculations run locally in your browser using JavaScript. The only data we receive is standard anonymous analytics (page views and events) through Google Analytics.

ConvertSnap is a browser-based tool suite. When you use any calculator or generator on our site, the processing happens on your own device. We built the site this way intentionally — it's faster, more private, and eliminates any risk of your data being exposed through a server breach.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

The following information is processed locally in your browser and is never transmitted to ConvertSnap or any third party:

  • Values you enter into any calculator (unit amounts, currency amounts, percentages, bill totals, etc.)
  • Dates and ages you enter into the date calculator
  • Passwords generated by the password generator
  • Passwords you enter into the password strength checker
  • Any other input you type into any tool field

You can verify this independently: open your browser's developer tools (F12 or right-click → Inspect), navigate to the Network tab, and use any tool. You will observe that no requests are made to any server during calculation or password generation.

2. Information We Do Collect

We collect anonymous usage analytics through Google Analytics (Google LLC, USA). This data includes:

  • Pages visited and time spent on pages
  • General geographic region (country/city level, not precise location)
  • Browser type, operating system, and device category (desktop/mobile/tablet)
  • Referring website (what site linked to us, if any)
  • Whether you're a new or returning visitor

This analytics data is anonymous and aggregated. It does not include any personally identifiable information. We use it solely to understand which tools are most used, identify technical issues, and improve the site.

Google Analytics may use cookies to distinguish users. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.

3. Cookies

ConvertSnap itself does not set any first-party cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish users and track sessions. These are the _ga, _gid, and related Google Analytics cookies.

You can disable cookies for this site through your browser's privacy settings without affecting tool functionality. All calculations work without cookies.

4. Third-Party Services

ConvertSnap uses the following third-party services:

  • Google Analytics — Anonymous page view analytics. Google Privacy Policy.
  • Google AdSense — Advertising. AdSense may use cookies to serve relevant ads. Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized ads at Google Ad Settings.
  • Frankfurter API — The currency converter fetches live exchange rates from api.frankfurter.dev. This request is made by your browser when you load the currency converter page. The Frankfurter API receives your IP address as part of the request (standard for any web request) but does not receive any currency amounts you enter.

5. Contact Form Data

If you submit a message through our contact page, we collect your name, email address, and message content solely for the purpose of responding to your inquiry. This information is not used for marketing, is not shared with third parties, and is retained only as long as necessary to address your inquiry.

6. Children's Privacy

ConvertSnap is not directed at children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through our contact form, please contact us so we can remove it.

7. Data Security

Because tool inputs are processed locally in your browser and never transmitted, there is no server-side database of user calculation data that could be breached. The minimal data we do collect (analytics) is handled by Google's infrastructure, which maintains its own security standards.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data including the right to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you. Since we collect minimal personal information (only through our contact form), requests to exercise these rights can be submitted through our contact page.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Contact us if you wish to exercise any of these rights.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of ConvertSnap after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
